The 2018 expo is being held in the bustling Abu Dhabi, the UAE where it will help highlight the thriving growth of leisure and entertainment in the GCC region as well as worldwide.

Afterwards, IAAPA has optional touring of Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia, then, on April 3-5, 2026, an IAAPA Post Tour is offered that will provide it with the close-up look behind the scenes of future mega-parks, including Six Flags Qiddiya and Aquarabia.

The Rationales of Why This Expo is Important to the Middle East Attractions Scene.

Middle East is witnessing the boom of attractions. Due to the giant investment in the tourism sector through works such as Saudi vision 2030 and post-oil diversification in the UAE, the region is emerging as a grand theme park, immersive experience, water parks, and cultural venues destination. The key connecting factor at IAAPA Expo Middle East is the major opportunity it has to provide.

It is already confirmed that more than 325 exhibitors have replied to the show floor (which is said to be sold out already), including the best suppliers of ride manufacturing, theming, ticketing technology, and safety solutions, among others. The anticipations of innovations in virtual reality rides, sustainable design with desert climates, family entertainment centres (FECs) and interactive museum exhibits are expected.

Attendees include:

  • Theme park operators and developers, water parks operators and developers, zoos operators and developers, aquarium operators and developers and museums operators and developers.
  • Ride, attraction, food and beverage and facility management suppliers.
  • Investors looking at the multi-billion surroundings of upcoming undertakings in the region.

It is not simply a matter of booths, networking is massive here. Being on the inside of the backstage tours to the top level, round-tables, you will be rubbing shoulders with the world leaders and regional pioneers.

Expectations Education, Networking, and More.

IAAPA is implementing an extensive educational programme that is already being conducted by the representatives of the industry. The issues will probably include the safety standards, guest experience trends, income maximisation, sustainability in attractions, and innovative technologies such as AI-powered personalization.

Special institutes include:

  • Institute of Attractions Professionals (undergraduate specialisation).
  • Institute of indoor entertainment professionals.
  • Safety Institute.
  • Iaapa Institute of executive development (senior leaders).

These co-exist with the main event, usually during certain days such as April 34 one programme (see latest agenda, using IAAPA Connect+ app, to build your unique schedule).
ADNEC, the expo venue, is global-class (made larger during this expo), has the best facilities, and is conveniently accessible through Zayed international airport. Abu Dhabi as a city also has some breathtaking supplements: Yas Island home to Ferrari world, Warner brothers world, and Yas water world, Louvre Abu Dhabi, and others to inspire after-event.
